Coming by car from the south, turn off the M6 motorway at Junction 36 and follow the A591 through Windermere and on to Grasmere. At the roundabout, turn left into Grasmere village. Continue along Stock Lane and take a left at the Garden Centre which is opposite St. Oswald's Church. The Gold Rill Hotel is situated 500 yards on the left past the public car park.

From the North, turn off the M6 motorway at Junction 40 and follow the A66 through Keswick, turning left at the sign for Windermere and Thirlmere, continue on through the village and take a right at the Garden Centre which is opposite St. Oswald's Church.
